Hello my Princess Charm School follower! Since I don't have the funds yet to hire someone to design and maintain my website, guess who gets to do it? That's right, me. I enjoy creating and designing new things I feel I have a nack for it, but at times it really gets frustrating when you don't have the right software or equipment to get it done. I have had several wonderful doors of opportunity open to me the past few months pertaining to Princess Charm School. I have added some new events--the most exciting is the partnership with ORU to host etiquette camps this June 2011! I am so excited but yet overwhelmed at the same time. I don't have a secretary but only a dear friend and partner in this venture. Together we have been diligently working on developing events for girls and women of all ages. I hope you will continie to follow me on this journey as I push a dream into reality. Check out the updates to the site, and let me know your comments. I appreciate you. "Many think that it is solely the teacher's responsibility to teach their child everything they need to know about reading, writing, math, manners, and life in general. I disagree with this theory. Although it is the teacher's job to teach to the best of their ability, it is the PARENT'S responsibility to teach and train their children at home. Since stability and home life have become obsolete in our society we as parents have become selfish in our mindsets and have exchanged our responsibilities for the sake of convenience. It's too easy to put the training of our children into the hands of other people like the schools, churches, etc. and blame them for something that doesn't go right than to stand up in the responsibility that has been directly given to you as a parent. We as parents will be held accountable for the way we have raised and taught our children. Before you start blaming the schools and teachers for not doing their job, stop and evaluate your involvement in the learning and training of your children. Are you involved in the training of your child or are you slumping in your responsibility?"

pursuing the vision

Pursuing a vision is hard work. It will take time, perseverance, and a lot of patience. What is patience? Many would say it is a dirty word and others would say it is a virtue you can't live without and must be perfected in your life. Patience is the ability to endure waiting, delay, or provocation without becoming annoyed or upset, or to persevere calmly when faced with difficulties. In the past six years, I have endured waiting and delays. I have become annoyed and upset but have made a conscious decision to persevere in difficult times. Waiting for the vision to come into fullness and to finally see manifestation of your faith is hard work. I have been worn-out, put-out and even wanted to give-up in the waiting. But the Bible says those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. Strength is something that comes only from God and trusting in Him to provide you with your every need.

2010 starts the seventh year of waiting for the Princess Charm School dream to come into full manifestation. I can finally see throughout the waiting, my hard work, perseverance, and enduring difficulties is starting to pay off. You see, God doesn't promote you as soon as you get a vision from Him, it is a process. Sometimes a long drawn-out process. But it is necessary to go through some things in order to fully enjoy the vision. It is what I like to call the "vision boot camp." At first there is a lot of pain and self-discipline, a lot of screaming, yelling and crying, but when you finally reach the end of training camp you are ready to face the vision head-on.

Although it has been over six years, I am still standing and walking in faith with God's strength, believing in my heart that the vision will come to its fullness in due season and pressing on toward the high calling. I know God finishes what He starts and Princess Charm School will be a mighty force for the kingdom of God.

My advice to anyone with a vision--Don't give up! Keep pressing forward! Keep waiting! and don't lose heart. God has something special He wants to do through your vision. If you keep on persevering through the difficult times, you will see the vision come to its fullness. Pursue your vision--The vision!!
